If everyone was the same and one bike fit everyone then we wouldn't be having this discussion. My wife and I have been riding together for 15 years. From my Honda 650 (with back rest) to my Bandit 1250 (with back rest) to my 2012 Concours 14 (with top case) to my 2015 Concours 14 (with top case) to my 2018 H2 SX SE (soon to be with top case). We know how to ride very well together. Maybe we ride differently than you as we are not you.

These were taken on the Snake in Tennessee. Ride just fine...
Do you already have info if some top case fits with original panniers? Start to have hurry to get the rack..

The only info I have is from here. Givi and another company will have a top case solution in a few weeks. I would assume they would be smart enough not to F up the side cases when they do it :)

I'm a little late to this thread...
Love my H2, but pillion issues.

I got the H2 SX SE+ to replace my K1200S for spirited distance trips with a pillion. The K12 is an outstanding bike for that - both rider and pillion are fairly low, and you barely notice the passenger's presence; they become invisible if they know what they're doing. With some custom seat mods, did trips of 7-hour days in a row, with no complaints, and no ill-effects.

The H2... well, took a pillion out for the first time yesterday (my adult daughter, with a lot of time on the backs of my bikes). With the high seat, a passenger really increases the bike's top-heaviness / tippiness at stop or walking speed, but when up to speed, that all disappears, and it still remains supernaturally planted even in tight fast corners. However, you always notice the added weight and changed weight distribution from having a passenger, and you definitely notice the increased braking distance for the same brake lever force, something which was not noticeable on the K12. She really liked the bike, grab handles are really nicely placed, but wasn't crazy about the seat; said she thought it adequate for a couple hours, tops: too thin, could be wider. This one would only be good if you have a very tiny girlfriend (or twink boyfriend, whatever you're into...).

Right now, I'm going to keep the K12 for distance 2-up, and save the H2 for distance solo. Has anyone found a good seat solution for the pillion, before I spend the money on a custom re-do?

Oh, yeah, and do have to get those pillion peg extenders for a little less scrunch for the knees...

My wife found my se+ pegs too high so got some 50mm drop MFW vario foot peg kit, as for the seat comfort she feels the same as your daughter, so going to try something like an air pad and see how that goes.

My wife does occasional pillion rides and liked both the K1300Ss I had before. She finds the H2 SX SE much more of a challenge. The seat is a lot less comfortable though an Airhawk seat cushion helps but the biggest issue is that the pegs are too high. She doesn't seem to have any issues with air flow but she is around 8 inches shorter than me.

My next move will be to find some adjustable pillion pegs that can be fitted lower and slightly further forward but I want to fit folding pegs (any suggestions?) as I find it pretty uncomfortable getting whacked in the back of the leg by a pillion peg when I'm paddling the bike around.

Just reading this, my wife loves the pillion seat on my bike, she’s been on a few, GSA to the Alps, GSXR1000R to and many laps around the Isle of Man and until now has viewed an S1000RR with comfort seat her favourite pillion perch - so not your usual passenger! It is a case of each to their own but she feels much happier being able to see where we’re going as, like a sports bike, she can see over my head and with a decent fitting Arai doesn’t get troubled by buffeting. At 5’3” the pegs aren’t a problem for her and the previous owner of my bike drilled and tapped the grab rails and fitted an AS3 motocross grab handle (for hauling X’ers out of the mud) between the two forming something very solid to hang on to. Some miles to do yet but so far for us the SX is proving to be a brilliant 2up bike.
