Levers

Post by kman0066 » Wed Apr 18, 2018 6:54 pm

I've been trying to peek around at the availability of levers for the H2 SX. From the Kawasaki part numbers, the H2 SX has unique part numbers for the levers, however, a lot of the other parts are off the Ninja 1000 (Z1000) on the braking system (like the brake calipers). The master cylinder has a unique part number as well...but I'm guessing that's due to the reservoir and not the cylinder itself. Surely they didn't design a completely new master cylinder for this bike...

From what I can tell, the Brake lever from the Kawasaki sportbikes (ZX-10R, ZX-14R, ZX-6R, Z1000, etc.) looks really close, anyone have one laying around to try? I'll dig through my parts bags and see what I have, but I haven't been holding on to much stuff from those bikes).

From the clutch side, I'm going to guess it's the same as a ZX-14R hydraulic clutch, but that's the only other Kawi I could find which might cross-over. I've never owned a ZX-14 so don't have one of those around to try either :(

So, just some guesses, but hoping someone has something laying around from a ZX-14R to try out. I don't like the feel of the stock levers.

Sometimes it's small details.. Example - the bleed nipples on the MC and clutch cylinders. Not sure if they're a feature on other models. Likely to appear on more models but if this is the first then obviously unique to this model....for now.

I have a couple of 2012 zx10r levers laying around. I might be able to try them but I'm getting ready for a pretty long ride starting tomorrow so it might be awhile before I get around to it.

I was thinking of trying some pazzo shorty levers.
