That's nuts! I'm at 50/50 and thought I was doing okay. I understand the 54. If I had a better tire and wasn't in public canyons I might push that far. But how in the hell did you get 59?

Road angles can also have a lot to do with it. 2 days ago I was going through a road in California and dragging my toes/peg at only 44°. I have yet to re-pass 50° either side after resetting it. I hang off the side of my bike a lot though. A lot.

Is that a 200 rear tire? I’ve only been 50/49, but tire wear is closer to the edge, and that’s street only.

I believe that the slope of the corner also plays into this. If the slope of the road, within the corner, allows the bike to tip 5° more, while maintaining the same contact patch as a flat road, then that 50° turns into 55° due to the relative position of "down."

I've scraped peg/boot at 50-55 because of this kind of thing, but other times hit 59 because of the corner slope.

Right is working well for me, but need to work for more lean on left.
L51/R56 on public roads, feelers still mounted.
Going on trackdays with an old Fireblade 900 as the handling is much better than the H2 SX.

I don't feel too embarrassed posting in this thread. This is from my recent visit to Stelvio Pass

I don't think it's too bad while carrying 9 days luggage.
