Re: Little things (and the not so little)
I picked up both the new H2SXSE and my BMW S1000XR yesterday. Both bikes have QS but each seem to work in an entirely different manner.
Downshifting on the H2SXSE seems pretty simple and intuitive...but upshifting seems to be a different story.
I seem to have to release the throttle on the H2 to upshift...on the BMW, you can only upshift with the QS if you are opening the throttle further. Not too concerned, just have to learn the characteristics of the Kawi.
Also, jumping from the H2SXSE on to the S1000XR 10 minutes later was an incredible experience in opposites. Both are clearly great bikes but you could easily make a case for keeping each one of them!

No insult intended, but did you make sure the qs setting is on? My hand stays in the throttle and the shifts up are flawless. Hope you sort it out, have a great day.

No insult taken. I referred back to the owners manual on the H2SXSE and it would appear the way I noticed it is the way it was supposed to work.Verizoncellular1 wrote: Sun Apr 15, 2018 2:22 pm No insult intended, but did you make sure the qs setting is on? If you haven't gone into the settings to turn on the quick shifter it's most likely not on unless your dealer did it for you.H2SXNV wrote: Sun Apr 15, 2018 11:35 pmNo insult taken. "The KQS system does not work properly below approximately 2,500rpm."
"Upshifting
During acceleration, the KQS system allows you to upshift without operating the clutch and letting off the throttle. "
"NOTE
The upshifting function of the KQS system does not work when the throttle is closed. "
The way you described the upshifts your doing it sounded like you are saying you have to let off the throttle to upshift. That's 100% opposite of what the manual says.

Re: Little things (and the not so little)
yesterday I wanted to reset just trip meter b and reset them all, lol
I have to read the manual but it appears it defaults to resetting everything instead of just the trip meter your on, seems odd.

Yup, it's a bit of a hassle: show tripmeter, keep reset button pressed until tripmeter flashes, release reset button and press it again until tripmeter resets... Or something like that
I guess that's what you get with the gazillion options on the dash...

After the tripmeter flashes is you press and release the reset button it begins flashing "reset all". So to just reset the trip meter you have to long press the reset button instead of press and release.
Select what you want to reset--- press and hold RESET until it begins flashing---- release RESET--- press and hold RESET.

Yeah I think it will be one off those things that once you get used to it it will become super easy.

So - thanks to both of you - I didn't understand it correctly when I read it.cOoTeR wrote: Mon Apr 16, 2018 12:10 amIf you haven't gone into the settings to turn on the quick shifter it's most likely not on unless your dealer did it for you.H2SXNV wrote: Sun Apr 15, 2018 11:35 pmNo insult taken. It's set correctly now - and I only feel slightly stupid.
Still no insult taken!
