Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
well it's probably a market thing , then!
I called five dealers in reasonable vicinity and the bike even wasn't for sale (already sold).
Who want's to (legally) putter along roads with this hot bike in Canada.
Open the throttle here in Germany, use the KQS, the left lane is your's at 270 Kmh

Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
To ride straight ahead in 270 km/h is no challenge, and is not what the H2SX is best at. Find some nice curvy roads and you will have much fun with this bike. Then you dont need more than 110-120 km/h to really push the limits.XcelleraThor wrote: Sun Sep 16, 2018 10:51 pm well it's probably a market thing , then!

In Norway we have maximum speed 110 km/h on 4 lane roads, but 80 km/h on normal roads. Still the pins on my footpegs are seriously scraped on both sides.

Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
I just saw an ad from a very reputable dealer who I have bought from. He is discounting the base model $3,100 and the SE $3,500. He does add freight but overall his fees are more reasonable than some other dealers in the area and he is a top notch dealer.

I disagree on what you write this bike is built for and best at.Gadus wrote: Mon Sep 17, 2018 5:34 amTo ride straight ahead in 270 km/h is no challenge, and is not what the H2SX is best at. It was built to get you very fast, very quickly and stay that way for great streches, comfortably. With it's 263kg Kawi engineers did a very good job on minimizing the impact on manouverability, though. I have done the curvy road thing for 18y on my noticably much more nimble CBR600F4 PC35 (200kg) in the area south of where I live, called "Eifel". I can tell the difference to the H2SXSE in many ways.
And who said Autobahns were straight? Take my favorite stretch of Autobahn near where I live. The A4 east of Cologne until it becomes the B54. On an early Sunday morning ride, even at 260kmh, these turns become tight and you are pushing other limits. A Boeing 757 takes off at that speed ;-)
I follow up to what it says on this website and literally live it: ride fast... ride far...
Anyway, having said that, may you ride your bike your way in Norway, but above all, may you always come home safely from your rides!
Godspeed

Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
To get back to the topic of this thread, I was at my dealer today for the recall and the two H2SXSE I saw couple of weeks ago, when I picked up my color matched panels for the bags, they were gone. Of course he wouldn't tell me if discounted! But he's out again!

Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
This bike might be selling better in Europe than here in the US. As jjscsix stated, the dealer that I bought mine from brought in 5 SE's and 2 base models thinking he would move them quickly and so far has sold only 2 SE's and 1 base model so he is heavily discounting the ones he has left to move them out of his inventory (including 1 demo SE). Good opportunity to pick on up in Texas.

Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
Could you get me an actual # ballparkfor an SE? In CO but for the right price might be worth a flight and ride home if discounting heavily enough. If droppi g like 750 meh, if taking msrp and doing 19-20 otd more tempting.HouTexH2SX wrote: Thu Sep 20, 2018 9:37 pm This bike might be selling better in Europe than here in the US. Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
This particular dealer is discounting the SE by $3,500, so $18,500 + TTL out the door. Look them up on the web--Mainland Cycle Center in La Marque Texas.Fitz wrote: Fri Sep 21, 2018 5:08 pmCould you get me an actual # ballparkfor an SE? Re: What Prices Are You Paying?
That is really irritating that a dealer is discounting so heavily. I wonder what his freight and setup fees are?
