Post by vcyclenut » Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:48 pm

can anyone confirm what the stock exhaust is made of

I need to order and wide band exhaust bung and want to get the same material obviously

a magnet test was inconclusive and id rather no grind on it to try to see what color the sparks are.

since I can not find it mentioned im guessing stainless

Since the header tubes are bare metal, I'd venture to say it's stainless steel. Surely isn't titanium from the factory.

I doubt the catalytic converter can on the H2SX is Ti ... so therefore, I doubt the headers are either. If there was any Ti in the exhaust system I'd think Kawasaki would have pointed that out in their specs as it's rare for factory bikes to have Ti exhaust systems.

The headers are definitely not titanium, otherwise they would begin turning blue. Mine are already turning gold, one sign they are stainless.

the reasons of Kawasaki not mentioning it and the color mine are turning are the two reasons I ordered a stainless one
