Riding in rain

Post by ghostwriter78 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 3:02 pm

Here are a few pics of the bike after passing through a heavy rain storm.
- really enjoyed the handling on wet road. best is to use Power L and KTRC 3 to avoid sudden movements and prevent slipping of rear wheel.
- backdraft on riders back is minimal. on other bikes my backpack would be soaked wet, on this bike it was literally dry even i passed through monsoon rain
- downside is that the rear under the seat is completely dirty, far back into engine area
- rain is pushed from front through fork space up onto rider, even though there are flaps reducing water/wind going up the fork

Did you get the occasion to try out rain mode?

Update: wait a sec.. is it only the regular H2 that has this mode?

The SX doesn't have a separate rain mode. I would just put it in low power mode and KTRC 3.

But it would be nice if there was a single option that makes that switch for you. No biggie though IMO.

I went to eat tasty hamburger near the lake by Mt Fuji yesterday and my bike was looking similar to OPs, it took me about 2 hours to wipe off the dirt.
I forgot to change the traction mode and kept it at F1 lol

I used ktrc 3 and Power L.

Actually I was on my break in ride. Night time and didn’t look like it’s gonna Rain but some parts of city are known for Rain. , suddenly air became moist and monsoon rainswept through. 10min torrendous rain for 5km, then all dry again.

So it's been raining and or just wet the past few days of course. It's no dirtier than my C14 would get. High pressure hose on the underbelly and soap and water on the shinny stuff. I'm not going to be putting this in Concourse De Elegance :)
