Gas tank construction

Anyone confirm if the gas tank is steel so a standard tank bag can be used? I assume it is

Black part on top of the SE's tank is plastic, but the tank itself is metal. I have to place my tank bag diagonally in order to make it stick to the gas tank

Thanks for the reply. I assumed as much, but just wanted to verify. Manufacturers are doing lots of different things these days for tanks, like plastic, aluminum, and even stainless, none of which are magnetic obviously.
