for clarification.... VIN number is that the engine or frame number? because they arent same

That's not actually mine. Mine is # 000232

It should go up to a maximum of 000800 if there are really going to be 800 built for this year

I don't know how Kawasaki assigns Vin numbers, but worldwide production is gonna be in thousands. They are producing somewhere between 600-700 SX/SX SE for model year 2018 just for the Japanese market.
I guess they started building units for international customers first
