Has anyone used the clutch reservoir GPS mount? I prefer the GPS up and easily in line-of-sight vs having to look down to see it (i.e. if it is on a stem mount). I don't use voice prompts and want to see the map and my route with as minimal distraction from the road as possible. The clutch reservoir mount seems the easiest place to try that from, but I've alway been concerned that might be a flimsy connection. I'm also totally open to other creative solutions :-)

I am using the RAM clutch mount for my radar detector, but it seems steady and not at all flimsy. I prefer the GPS in the center of the stem, but I see no reason the clutch mount would not work well for you.

I used my clutch mount to hold my cellphone yesterday. It held great no issues and I had the bike up around 170mph a couple times. Just make sure you have steering clearance around the windshield with your device.

Is this a plug and play setup? Where does it wire in?

I mounted my tire pressure monitor to my clutch bracket, I use a Ram mount for my GoPro, I'm running out of room!

I wonder how many people jsut use their phones today instead of a dedicated gps unit
With the tougher phones these days, and their water resistance getting better, more and more of us are switching to just the phone. Garmin's mapping software is helping push some of us too.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity
