Pillion grabrails - any alternatives?

Post by spazbecker » Sun Oct 13, 2019 3:39 pm

I've just bought an SX SE and very impressed with it. I prefer the sporty look to the tourer look and wondered if anyone had removed/replaced the big pillion grabrails with anything else a bit more sleek?

No but i want to do the same . I had an exhaust hanger bracket made by GIA engineering so may get them to look at blank plugs

I haven't taken apart the grab rails on mine, but I did something similar for my N1K when I wanted to remove the grab rails but fill the cavity that was left. It was a big project, cost me like $1000 in development costs, I chose to make them out of Delrin. I sold enough pairs to the N1K community to cover my costs but that's about it.
