I found the lighting on the H2SX to be rather sparse. It throws enough light but the " Lighting Footprint" when viewed by other riders and more importantly, other drivers is lacking. I looked in to larger more expensive auxiliary lights and they were just too much money for me, especially considering I rarely ride at night and don't need to extra light. I just want to be SEEN.
Ordered up a basic front lighting system kit from
https://www.skenelights.com/ for $129.
One of my riding buddies had them on his bike and they make you much more visible, and have a unique flicker feature when you look at them from an angle (imagine a left turner looking at you as you approach). Inexpensive, bright AF, and tiny.

I can see how those would catch people's eye ... nice one!
I reckon the American idea of having the indicators on permanently as running lights is a great idea. Especially at night it delineates you from the car behind.
Although not necessary on this bike due to the LED headlight, the other mod I've always done is to change the bulbs to a bright white or blue. At first I just did it cos it looked pretty but I soon noticed I was more visible at night because the headlight did not blend in with the line of traffic behind me. Simple, cheap and effective

great info thanks. Following it up on the Skene site for my own bike today, they have added $10 to the price with a redesigned and enclosed LED light unit, also now available in yellow LED
