accessory socket question
Re: accessory socket question
You can just reach down with your hand and feel the cavity.
Turn handlebars to the left, reach down and there it is.
Quite usable. It's a deep space so nothing can come out.
The opening is just in front of the radiator cap.
In fact, as I'm currently sat on the bike, I've the mini compressor and the puncture repair kit wedged in just noticed!

That space on mine is covered with a piece of plastic. Not sure why yours is open--did you remove the plastic piece?DarkFlow wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2019 10:30 am You can just reach down with your hand and feel the cavity.

Re: accessory socket question
This is weird. Here is a picture of mine. The space is completely covered with a plastic part.

Re: accessory socket question
So I got a new mini compressor for xmas. Today I plugged it in to the accessory socket and gleefully started setting my tyre pressures for about 5 seconds until the fuse blew. The fuse for the accessory socket is 7.5A ... my compressor draws 30A. I note a few of you have mentioned using mini compressors and even a travel kettle on the accessory socket .. how have you not blown fuses or did you just whack a bigger fuse in there?

Re: accessory socket question
Don't put a bigger fuse in there. The fuse is there to protect the wires from melting in the circuit. I have a harness attached to my battery for heated gear, that I also use for a pump when needed.Racer-X wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2019 4:03 pm So I got a new mini compressor for xmas.
