accessory socket question

You can just reach down with your hand and feel the cavity.
Turn handlebars to the left, reach down and there it is.
Quite usable. It's a deep space so nothing can come out.
The opening is just in front of the radiator cap.
In fact, as I'm currently sat on the bike, I've the mini compressor and the puncture repair kit wedged in just noticed!

That space on mine is covered with a piece of plastic. Not sure why yours is open--did you remove the plastic piece?

That space is open on my bike as well.
