Windscreen wellnuts
Anyone able to tell me the size of the well nuts holding the windscreen in place? M4? M5?

Re: Windscreen wellnuts
Received a new windshield from Ermax yesterday. Looks great, and has a bit of a “flip” or curvature at the top that should deflect wind up and over. But ugh, what a fight with the wellnuts. I struggled for over an hour last night to get them into the new windscreen, and I finally succeeded. But now, I cannot get the nosepiece attached to the windscreen. Some holes are not lining up. This windscreen might have to be returned….

Re: Windscreen wellnuts
I usually stick an Allen wrench in, that just a tad bigger than the internal metal threads, and use that to push it into the hole. When you're locking two pieces together, it's best (IMO), to hold them together and do it at once.
If their windscreen holes don't match up, then it doesn't sound like very good quality. :/ That part doesn't really have much in the way of variance.

Ok, got it all figured. The easy way to work with those wellnuts is the thread the screws in from the backside of them, and then grab the head of the screw with pliers and pull the nuts through the windscreen and nosepiece. Works very well. It was raining all day today, so I’ll give the windscreen a test and review it here tomorrow. It looks really sharp…
