Paced on the Dragon

Post by terrordbn » Wed Sep 25, 2019 6:57 pm

Followed me all the way down the Tail of the Dragon. He kept me honest and paying attention to every speed limit sign! :)

I have a radar detector on my bike. It is pretty much worthless on the road now. All the blind spot monitors and adaptive cruise controls cause WAY too many false alerts.

Plus, he was pacing me. No radar needed....

this Is a big reason I prefer the roads around the dragon to the dragon. You have to do the dragon at least once but it is not anywhere near my favorite road

Agreed! The Cherohala Skyway and the Foothills Parkway are GREAT roads, but seen my share of law enforcement on those roads also. That area is amazing for the variety of road types and scenic routes!

Well, segmenting the bands on your detector takes care of that. Maybe you have an older model that does not allow you to do that

I have a Adaptiv Technologies TPX Pro. I don't see anything in the docs to segment any of the bands. I can only eliminate X and K band alerts.
