Canadian Owners '19 SXSE+ Did you get a deal?

Post by Rikter » Mon Sep 23, 2019 10:02 pm

Wondering if any Canadian owners managed to get a deal or anything off on their purchase of a '19 SXSE+?

2019 H2 SX selling for 19024$
2019 H2 SX SE selling for 19995$
2019 H2 SX SE+ are selling for 24974$ (and I'm sure you could even get in for 22k in a month from now)

Or you can get a brand new leftover 2018 SX with 0kms and a 2 year warranty for 15995$.. and even with those prices, they aren't flying of the showroom floors.

Not to mention that even at those prices dealers are willing to toss in the panniers and mounting hardware, maybe even an extra year or two of warranty.

For you guys in the USA, a leftover SX is about 12k USD

Anywhere those figures are coming from? Every check I see is full MSRP at $28999. Checking BC through Quebec.

I picked up my 2018 SX SE from Montreal this spring. I saved over $5,000 from the 2019's.

Insurance is different in Quebec so the bike is expensive to insure thus it just isn't selling well.

Just so you know - If you buy the bike from say Quebec you still pay the sales tax. Then when you plate it in your province you pay the tax again but you can send in the paperwork to get the Quebec tax refunded.

The issue here in Quebec is that the H2SX and all variants were reclassified as a high-risk motorcycle by the province along with all the supersports and certain other sport tourings such as the HONDA VFR1200 and the BMW K1300.. models that appear on the list of "high-risk" motorcycles cost 1700$ annually, payable to the state, just to register! (1900$ for the year 2020)

https://saaq.gouv.qc.ca/en/vehicle-regi ... torcycles/

The annual registration cost is on top of the mandatory private insurance cost...

A non-high risk motorcycle costs approximately 650$ annually to register.

Old thread, new post here.. i got one of the 2018 Base SX leftovers (new), for around 15000+tax, they put the code in my province so i didnt have to pay the tax again. I had bought a Moto Guzzi in Que a couple years ago & did but they did the paper work for me once i reg'd the bike in my province.
Got a deal because of the plate yes... its my 5th bike from Que in 10 years.
