I'd like to switch to the EBC sintered double H for the '19 plus, but it seems they are not being made by EBC at this time. Will patiently wait.
ProfJ - I would check again on that. EBC list Part # EPFA447HH sintered pads for the H2R. They should be the same as your SE+
Hey Champ, thank you.

I spoke both with EBC U.S., and EBC World HQ. Both said they have nothing in their 'catalog' system showing anything 'yet' for the '19 SX plus (Brembo setup).

I will call them again and assert the position with your part info.

Regards.

I haven't done a hands-on comparison. I'm simply going by the Kawasaki parts listing.

OEM pads for SE+, H2 ,H2R and ZX10R are all listed by the same Kawasaki Part # 43082-0157

OK, so who has used the HH pads and what type of bite change do you get?

The front brake is fine, but I'd really like a much more 'competent' feel from the rear setup. What specific pads would you folks who have used these pads suggest, the race, day track . . . looking for a very strong change from the OEM pads.

So in my search for an EBC setup, '19 SX+, not having luck with EBC, after Champ87 advising of same part different bike info I pulled the part number 43082-0157 on Partzilla, and then called them, as well to re-confirm that this part, and the fitment listing on their site, for front and rear brake pads, do indeed fit the following bikes, as listed in their item part listing. Champ87s' post-up of his same parts different bikes catalog is very helpful! It would have been helpful had I used his catalog first! (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=254&p=14905#p14892)

Installed the double HH pads in my 2018 last year and it made a big difference. No on 2019 SX SE + so have Brembos as standard which are a little better.
Do you think there'd be much difference/improvement on a '19 SE+ (Brembos) with HH pads (rear)?

The ZX12 I had also had a crappy rear brake. I experimented with HH and Platinum pads but nothing made any significant improvement. On the front the HH pads give a lot more bite but its not so noticeable on the rear.

This being said I have literally just fitted EBC HH pads front and rear ... the weather here is really shite and will continue to get worse but if I manage to bed them in I'll let you know how I go.

So with the '19 Brembo brake setup, how'd you all compare those Brembo pads with the several mentioned in this topic, HH and Ferodo pads?

"HH" is just the friction rating. Both Ferrodo and EBC (and others I would guess) make HH sintered pads. I've used both Ferrodo and EBC in the past and can't say I've noticed a significant difference between the two. The main thing that changes is initial bite ... and noise ... HH pads are noisy. You can hear them when you apply the brakes.

I know the genuine pads in the SE are organic and I would hazard to guess the SE+ with brembos would also come with organic pads. HH pads are not rotor friendly and would prob result in too many warranty claims for rotors. In fact Kawasaki will probably not cover the rotors under warranty if your pads are HH (triumph warned me of this when I upgraded the pads in my old sprint st). This being said I put 70k km on that sprint and the rotors were still fine.
