Opinions on on relcoating turn signal

Post by N4speed » Mon Aug 19, 2019 11:07 am

I've been considering removing mirrors, and relocating turn signals to the headlight corner lights and changing bulbs to amber. Any opinions would be apreciated. Since installing lsl handlebar conversion mirrors are kinda useless. Planning on bar end mirrors.

The running lights are LED and you wouldn't be able to change those to amber. Plus, not a great location next to the headlight to be seen.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but bikes need mirrors and signals. The ones integrated into the mirrors are a great design and bright as fuck from a safety POV. I would leave be.

Just my opinion tho :D

But which is worse not seeing behind you, or sub standard turning signals?

The whole point of removing the lights and relocating sure makes sense. Cleans up the front end some.

I do agree with the others about the 'cautions' they've expressed. Their thoughts are very pragmatic and good 'sense'.

The relocation, in my opinion, needs to address:

- Is the relocation area as visible as OEM?
If not, how'd you address being a bit more invisible to Cagers? Bikes are invisible. . . meaning you too.

- Is the change over, to amber, helpful in visibility for others to see your relocated markers?
You can always tint the lenses exterior to amber, right? The amber tint will age with time.

I'd like to see/hear more about your lsl handlebar conversion. Did you already post it up? The kit looks like it'd do what I need. How do you like it?
