Installation guys just left after their install of the 'slowest' fiber optic service. We've been waiting for years.
The new 'slow' service is 55 times faster than the old, fast service.
The only thing faster at our house, now, is the H2SX!
What would you fill in?

I agree and disagree with this. I owned two VFRs in the past, a 5th gen (last of the gear driven cams) and a 6th gen. Loved both of them to death, excellent all around bikes...naturally, down on power compared to other sportbikes. But superb bikes.vcyclenut wrote: Tue Aug 13, 2019 7:21 pm vfr

Was super hyped for the rumored/announced VFR1200 back in the day...until all the details came out. Jesus christ, what a massive let down. So overpriced for what you got, and all the poor design decision. Why...WHY changed the classic V4 firing order? Whoever decided that should have been shitcanned.
I look at the H2SX as everything I want a VFR to be, it just doesn't have a V4.

I had a 2002 gloss black VFR and loved it as well. Sure it was underpowered but sounded amazing with a pipe and was an awesome all rounder for many years...I put 80,000km on it before selling to to a friend.

the VFR was a very nice bike, didn't do anything wrong, was comfy, handled decent but it did nothing great and was just kind of booring and sloooow
I think the analogy works old internet got the job done just like the vfr did, and If I didn't know any better id be happy with it but the H2sx makes the vfr slow and old feeling in pretty much every way

I have a fast bike and fast internet at home, 940 MBPS download.
The fiber optic sucks in my area, so I'm running cable, which is 5x faster.

I loved my vfr when I describe the h2sx I say it's basically a supercharged vfr1000.
The seating and riding is so similar it's just it has the engine the vdr always should of had

Resurrecting a very old thread here...but I just joined the forum and looking at an H2SX to replace my '09 VFR800. I can see that the power will definately be a huge improvement and was able to briefly sit on one so can concur that the riding position feels very similar, but am very curious as to how the H2 SX will handle in the curves as compared to the VFR, especially since it's about 30 lbs heavier. My VFR is awesome in the twisties!Tefal wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 9:55 pm I loved my vfr when I describe the h2sx I say it's basically a supercharged vfr1000.

Hoping the H2 will be the same or better at carving corners.

Re: Fiber optic is to old internet, as the H2SX is to . . .
Depends a little on what year H2SX you get.
Regardless, the suspension in the H2SX is vastly superior (fully adjustable in first models, full dynamic ESA in new models) to what you have on your 6th gen VFR and should easily make up for any difference the in handling that 30lbs might show.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the hardbag integration. On the H2SX it's seamless, the bike looks great with or without bags. On the 6th gen VFR (and maybe the 8th gen? not sure) you need to install all those fugly brackets before you can use the bags.
