OK, I'm with you now. I thought you meant just SX and not SE or SE+

well, I get to play this game. when I indicated them they are WAY out there.
last thing was clutch slave cylinder. tech could not reproduce that problem.
had to complain to kawasaki to get them to just do it.

hopefully they do as the service manual says and pull the wheel and indicate it.
and not ride the thing and be stupid.

@ $600 a rotor I sure dont want to pay for them.

Coincidentally I have started to get a pulsing at the lever during the initial part of braking. Just passed 15500 miles.

Unfortunately my extended warranty is just about to expire, and I changed the callipers, so probably have no chance of a replacement.

from June till yesterday, Kawasaki approved replacing rotors as well as the pads. waiting for parts and install.
pads were in spec so either they are being nice, or they are part of the reason.

has this gone away in the last few model years? hope so

The stock rotors are not of very good quality, but I think it's easier to fit Brembo rotors than to sell the bike.
No bike is perfect.

Be sure to verify warpage using a dial indicator. Many times the pulsing that gets diagnosed as warpage is actually pad deposits baked onto the rotor. You still need to buy a rotor (unless the deposits are minor and not thoroughly baked on), but it is good to know if pad deposits are the culprit. To prevent this, never sit with the brake applied at a standstill after hard braking.

My rotors are fine at 23,000 miles. I just put in new pads and measured to be sure the rotors are not below the wear limit. I will probably have to replace them with my next set of pads, but they have not suffered from warping or pad deposits.

Stupid question: can poorly-balanced wheels cause juddering under braking or does my 2018 have warped rotors?

The reason I ask is my wheels are noticeably out of balance when I go over 200kp/h, and I get vibration in the front when I brake hard.

This is the main symptom of warped rotors.
