I could feel heat radiating to my lower legs. My inner thigh were burning up and sweating cause they were touch the side of the tank (or just below, wherever they sit).
That's where the supercharger sits.
Still would like to know the BST temperature, (IAT), you can toggle this reading with the handle bar switch.
BST temp can shoot up during brief hard use of the supercharger, above the coolant temperature, cools back down.
If the temps are not excessive, I don't know why so hot under the seat/battery compartment.

At the end of ride, bike had 199 miles on it. But I wonder if they did something to it after the test ride and before I took it home. I didn't notice any heat at all on the test ride. The bike did get to full temp.
I might see if I can ride bike to work tomorrow. See what it feels like in the morning.
One thing to check is the foam pads on the inside of the fairing. They will be downstream of the large exit vents on either side. There's should be foam pieces that sandwich in between the fairing and frame/engine bits to block hot air moving downstream of the side vents. Ensure they are actually there, and ensure they aren't deformed or out of place and hoses/cables are routed properly through slots in the foam.

If the blow off valve isn't routed back into the intake and is vented to the air it could cause extreme heat.

Hey guys, thanks!
UFO, I checked and it does have the foam inserts and it looks like they are straight and hoses are run correctly through it.
Reciprocal, I will check the BST temp next time I am out.
cOoTeR, Where could I find the blowoff valve? I looked my best under there. Everything seemed to be in place.
I currently have the side panel off wiring in a GPS.
So the metal piece I was referring to under the sear being hot is the metal piece that the 2 hooks on the seat clip under, in front of the battery bottom. hope that helps.
I need to take it out soon so I can get my 600 mile check up done this weekend.
On a side note, does anyone know what the dealer does when they take the bike back to service area after you buy, but before you go home?
When I test rode it, no heat issues at all. they took it back before I rode it home, and on the way home is when I noticed the heat. This was about 10 pm. So wondering what they do, if they did something that is causing the heating issue. Might be a stretch, but just wondering.
Thanks

It's located on the upper front of the plenum / air box.
Most of the time they just prep the bike for delivery. Install/ charge battery, fill fluids, check tire pressures, maybe wash the bike. Then they check the operation of everything.

There was a post from the other forum from an H2 owner who was doing some mods that included a new radiator. It was hot for him until he burped the system, apparently had trapped air. Removing the radiator cap and introducing air into the closed system *is* something a dealer might do in a pre-delivery bike check.

This one seems viable as I rode the bike twice that day and the first time it was fine. I guess next question is, how do I "burp the system"? I don't want to just take the cap off and introduce more air.

On a slight off topic, at what temp do the radiator fans turn on? I noticed mine didn't turn on at all. The temp hit 204 at one point briefly.

My bike is hot around my feet area when riding in hot conditions. Just below the calf area and including the boots. But I don't think it's a negative, just keeping the motor cool when running is all I figure. Heat has to go somewhere when the radiator is working. But no issues near the seat/thigh/crotch areas at all.

According to the shop manual it's 212 F.
When the coolant temperature goes up beyond 100°C (212°F), the radiator fan relay conducts to
operate the radiator fan. The radiator fan draws air through the radiator core when there is not sufficient
air flow such as at low speeds. This increases up the cooling action of the radiator. When the
coolant temperature is below 97.5°C (208°F), the fan relay opens and the radiator fan stops.
This can be adjusted with an ECU flash. My fan kicks in at 195 F.
