Phoenix ride 8-3-19: Yarnell-Prescott loop

We are riding this Saturday morning. Meet at 5am. Loop303 and Bell Ave. Circle K West of the 303. From there up to Wickenburg-Yarnell-Prescott. We should get home before it gets too dam hot.

I can say this. I scrubbed the new ness off these Pirelli GT Angel II’s today. They are perfect for this bike. On milled asphalt they do weird things. The front end and ass end wiggles independently. But manageable at 70 mph.....ish
They dive into corners like an addict needing a fix...with grace and smoothness. I was blinded by the sun in the tight corners, in a hard lean{40-50] in a 25mph corner. All of a sudden the front tire jumps off the ground and shakes and shimmies. We are in a full lean...btw. My foot comes off the peg cuz, we figure we are going down,....the Pirelli grabs traction when it hits the ground and on we go. It was a baseball sized rock and I kicked it off the road with that...oh shit moment
