Re: Fuel consumption
i guess those numbers are at some average speeds of 80kph or so.. not much acceleration or takeoffs.
on my CBR650F stated fuel consumption is 46mpg, but my calculated average is 40mpg, with lowest at 30mpg and highest at 49mpg.... all im saying..

Re: Fuel consumption
I never pay attion to fuel mpg I go fast and I enjoy the ride. I normally go a 110 miles then get fuel

Re: Fuel consumption
because this is important to many people im thinking of having a couple fuel mapping options when I develop the flashes for it
one that is what I would normally do which is just develop it for best power and smoothest throttle response at all throttle positions. it doesn't usually effect economy more then a couple MPG if your cruising.
and one that maximizes the fuel economy under say 50% throttle
ive never done this but I pride myself in tailoring my tunes and flashes to what the customer wants and think there would be enough people that want option 2 it would be worth doing
it would be nice if the modes changes fuel maps but I haven't seen a bike that does this yet, its always throttle maps and ignition timing only.
if modes will switch fuel maps ill be able to do both

I'm confused why does 17.9km/L = 42.1mpg in the US and 50.6 mpg in the UK?JonTheChron wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 11:56 pmOk, I got the info you guys were looking for. Here is it, directly from KHI.
According to the info sent to the Japanese Ministry of Transport using using test methods approved by the WMTC the H2 SX at speeds of 60 KMH measured on a dynamometer.. consumes 27 km/L
In American values that's 63.5 MPG
In other standard tests that reflect the real world, the H2 SX consumes on average 17.9 km/L which equates:
42.1 MPG (US)
50.6 MPG (UK)

Re: Fuel consumption
When I lived in San Diego county, my fuel mileage on the Sprint ST was mid to low 40 mpg US depending on my riding style. Since I moved to Prescott and live at 5000 ft, the mileage has increased to low 50s. My guess is this is due to lower aero drag.

Re: Fuel consumption
I think I average just over 14km per liter using 100 octane. That figure is while I'm breaking in the bike.
I can see it'll average over 20km per liter if I was on a highway at minium speed on 6th gear, but it can easily dip under 10km per liter if I open that throttle

Re: Fuel consumption
Real world numbers for me:
- 17km/L during break in
- 16km/L after
(I do ride hard, strong accelerations, eco sign is still ON a lot)
