Exhaust link pipe

Post by steadly2004 » Mon Jul 22, 2019 2:29 am

Anybody supply a link pipe without actually buying a full system? I'd love to get a cheap universal can connect with a link pipe. However I can't find a link pipe anywhere.

If no link pipe is available, does anybody know of the specific diameter of our exhaust? Once the stock can is removed? I think the common aftermarket cans are 51mm? I don't plan of removing the exhaust valve or the cats. Does a link pipe work from another bike?

I have a brand new spare link pipe still in the bag, I got a spare from scorpion as I though my original link pipe was a bit too tight, thing is I am in the uk , if you need to change just your exhaust can like I have you can contact scorpion they will supply you with a new exhaust can and the link pipe comes with it , I don't know if they will supply the link pipe by itself , it may help if you mention the h2 riders net forum as they are giving this forum 20% discount on scorpion products

Read my post RE the exhaust - The Scorpion is a great can for general use. I used the link pipe from this to switch between Noise and less noise lets say. Cheap small motoGP slash cut tip fitted to the link pipe. Not for everyone but i like it :)

I am a fan of the slash cut gp exhaust , had one on my sx 1000 , it gave a nice deeper tone , not too loud , looked far better and was a massive saving on weight, don't think you need to put a link pipe on to fit the gp slash cut it should just fit straight to the original pipe from the cat .

Yes I would but don’t know about the shipping costs if I can help you I will I looked for a separate link pipe before I bought the scorpion set up. Found them hard to come by. Don’t know if it maybe worth contacting scorpion first and asking the question if they will supply you a link pipe only. It may help if you mention the h2 forum as you get 20% discount. Let me know good luck

same thing

I believe I've also seen similar in CA.
Looks like that's a cat delete pipe. I may have mislabeled but I was thinking of the bend to connect the pipe to an aftermarket muffler.

Yes. I've considered this. But not sure if it'll be too loud. I wish I could hear one in person before pulling the trigger. Cameras don't really communicate the sound level well. I saw the decible meter on the mentioned install video. But still doesn't translate to my brain well. As I have no reference personally.
