i wanted to ask whats top speed for the panniers.. if its 299 that would be sweet. (not that i need that speed, but i may reach 200 and dont want them flying off the bike)
yes, saw a german review, so far the best worldwide but sadly no translation. he asked kawasaki and they confirmed panniers and pillion approved at 299 kph.
Tachometers always read optimistic, just like speedometers
I bet its set closer to 12,300, ill be able to see the real number on the dyno.
I only ever raise a limiter if the power is still climbing or even still pretty flat, not much use if the bike falls on its face 500 rpm before redline
im guessing the h2sx will pull strong right up and into redline
Sorry for a possibly silly question but Dyno only after break in period, right?
Yeah, best to wait for a dyno run until it's broken is some. Might not have to wait the full 1000 miles, but I'd give it at least 400~500 miles of good break-in running first.

It's a matter of personal preference. There's no real data either way that show the difference in following the break in cycle or just going all out. Google how to break in a motorcycle and you'll see all kinds of opinions on it. Or call a performance shop and ask whay they think of dyno break in procedures.
