Anyone with a VCyclenut flash and stock exhaust setup?

Post by Prof J » Mon Jul 15, 2019 12:35 am

Looking for some practical knowledge. Been reading what I can find. Looking to sort out these things by mid August.

After I return from a month long trip in Aug I plan on making some changes to the bike, Daves flash and maybe changing some or all exhaust pieces.

Is there anyone with a VCyclenut ecu flash and stock exhaust setup, or only some parts of the exhaust setup still OEM? If so, what can you tell me about your OEM exhaust setup and it's influence on Daves flash tune?

The ZX10 headers are from the stock ZX10 and not theZX10R, am I correct?

. . . and are there any differences with the OEM 16-18 H2SX headers vs the OEM '19 SE + headers?

I see the "Graves Motorsports Kawasaki ZX10r Link Header Upgrade" links the 4 pipes into two sets. Will this set work for the '19 SE +? and if so has anyone installed or heard any reputable info on the setup? Pros/cons?

I'm thinking that the 'link' is to assist scavenging in the paired up pipes. ?

Gracias.

Yes, I'm running a Vcyclenut flash with stock pipe and P08 filter. I also have a Vcyclenut complete exhaust kit but haven't got around to installing it yet.

See this post for my impressions and the thoughts of others with that flash.

Champ87, thank you. I've gone through the thread, and I may need to be more specific.

Does anyone who has a flash from Dave, have any pre-flash dyno data, OEM bike, and post Daves flash dyno data, along with their specific, new parts/bike setup?

I'm not looking for a debate about this data, or whether some feel it is or is or is not necessary, just the info, if it is available?

You can find that info on Daves site. He has an H2SX and dynoed before and after results

Dave, good info, thank you.

Any info on the P08 filter vs the F1, (with rest of bikes setups as you did for the F1 filter)?

The F1 does a good job

That's interesting, and on an otherwise stock bike? It's as if the bike can't use the extra flow (which we know it can), or the back end exhaust components are restricting it?

Dave, why do you think that would be?

I don’t know why. Does no good to speculate why

I just know I have tested them back to back on a couple different configurations (stock, and with a full system) and they made the same power.
