I couldn't live with that awful mismatch of green. I would of sent it back and tell them to try harder.keith zx wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2019 12:27 pm i now have my bagster tank cover ordered direct from bagster , not exactly the same metallic green but good enough , the shade of green does alter slightly depending on the light , happy with it . don't know how my pics are upside down ????

Re: bagster tank covers
Revivin an old thread. I absolutely love the Bagster tank covers. Dust, sand & water dont really get under it . They offer the best tank bag system imho of anyone. I had the Minea tank bag on a Bagster tank cover on my 97 Blackbird, it was in black, I got mega compliments on its looks , they are quality but to Canada the combo ran me $425, however it was well worth it as I sold the bag and cover for 225 10 years later.CoolDaddyGroove wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2019 2:35 pm Sorry, but that thing is hideous! Why cover up such a beautiful paintjob (and risk damaging your paint with any particle of dust, sand, water between the cover and the tank. Seems like overkill just to put a tank bag on your bike.
I wish their system was a little less costly and available in Canada , as my last one came from Germany and I was never able to score for a good enough price to buy for my ZX14. I am a big fan of them, plus they allow one to maintain a perfect tanks and you can always remove it when you like

Re: bagster tank covers
I agree that green looks awful and doesn't come anywhere close to matching the green paint on the SXSE, it would look much better if the tank cover was black. That particular shade of green looks like it would go really well with the green paint on the Z900RS.Switch18 wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2019 6:57 pmI couldn't live with that awful mismatch of green. Re: bagster tank covers
Had their covers on my last ZZ1100, and my ZX9R. Very happy with them. OK the colour is not a complete match but they protected my tanks well come rain or sine and other crap.
Great for my knees as I used to wear the paint on the tanks badly with track days and enthusiastic road riding.
Great for touring, used to just clip the bag on and unclick when I stopped, kept all my valuables, camera, phone etc. in it.
For the price I thought they were great, and OK the SX paint is nice and the bag is never going to look as good as the paint.

Re: bagster tank covers
I think with a little effort they could have done a much better job at matching the color of the bag to the color of the tank. They would have been better off dying the color of the bag black, any shade of black would look significantly better than the green. If I were looking for a tank bag that shade of geen would be a show stopper for me.

Re: bagster tank covers
Is it the colour of the bag or the colour of the tank cover that is the problem? I have a black tank bag I've used across multiple different bikes of different colours.
The tank covers are an approximate match to the bike. They couldn't get an exact colour match so the tank cover will always be different. As such, I'd rather it was obviously not a match rather than trying to "pretend".
If I want to see the paint on the tank I simply remove the cover. It's really not difficult!
