bagster tank covers
I have been after a green and black leather bagster tank cover for my sx h2 se, I have had a bagster tank cover on several of my bikes and find them to do a good job for the tank protection and any bagster tank bag will fit the tank cover , which gives ample storage , I have just found out that bagster have now developed the sx h2 and sx h2 se tank covers , they are listed on e bay , they are a bit more expensive than the previous tank covers I have bought at around £150.00 inc delivery, although saying that I paid around £120 for my metallic green cover for my 2017 sx , and the se has the metallic green / black leather , any one got one yet ? think I will be ordering mine as I still have a black bagster tank bag which will go ok

Re: bagster tank covers
I use a Bagster tank cover. I bought mine from Germany in April. I'm very happy with it. It does what it says on the tin!

Have a pic with it on your bike, black-k1? It's hard to imagine from the pic of it unmounted:black-k1 wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2019 2:33 pm I use a Bagster tank cover. I bought mine from Germany in April. I'm very happy with it. It does what it says on the tin!

On holiday with the family at the moment so limmited access to pictures. This is the best I can do.

Ready for my trip to the Dolomites in early June.
ETA Picture doesn't seem to want to work so here's the link.

Re: bagster tank covers
i now have my bagster tank cover ordered direct from bagster , not exactly the same metallic green but good enough , the shade of green does alter slightly depending on the light , happy with it . don't know how my pics are upside down ????

Sorry, but that thing is hideous! Why cover up such a beautiful paintjob (and risk damaging your paint with any particle of dust, sand, water between the cover and the tank. Seems like overkill just to put a tank bag on your bike.

Re: bagster tank covers
the tank covers are lined and cannot damage your tank , had these for years , they are there to do a job and they do it well for me , they look better in the flesh , granted the green paint is beautiful but if you pick up a mark on your tank or a supposed chip !!!! you are talking a complete respray job or around £1250 for a new tank . I would rather have the bagster than a magnetic bag.

Re: bagster tank covers
I've owned 15 bikes over the past 25 years of riding and not once have I ever had a stone chip on the tank. I would rather clear 3M my bike than have something potentially rub the paint. Personal choice. And as for tank bags, I use SW-Motech's tank ring bags, and they don't touch a thing.

Re: bagster tank covers
everyone to there own there is no rubbing at all on the tank , I have had numerous bagsters on different bikes, the tank is totally protected, I have never had a stone chip on a tank on any of my bikes , but It is funny how so many people have this issue of what LOOKS like a stone chip on the top of there tanks , practically impossible to have any marks blended in , cost of a new tank is over £1000 that is without fittings and any labour charges. like I say everyone has there own preferences , I personally would not like to cover my bike with clear plastic , you still see the edges of the plastic.. just my thought s cheers
