Re: Intake filter housing drainage
I have the same problem, since I installed a full vandemon exhaust and replaced the filter, I tune it and I start having oil dripping from the bottom of the filter box, I drain the little bag twice already and looks like every time I ride oil gets in there and I have to drain it. So annoying. Anyone has any solution before I bring it back to the dealer

The dealer is going to tell you the filter is the cause and recommend going back to OEM. My dealership had a Kawasaki rep look at my bike and they came to the assumption that the higher flowing filter has more air going across the crank vent causing it to suck oil up.DraganGrof wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2019 2:05 am I have the same problem, since I installed a full vandemon exhaust and replaced the filter, I tune it and I start having oil dripping from the bottom of the filter box, I drain the little bag twice already and looks like every time I ride oil gets in there and I have to drain it. Re: Intake filter housing drainage
Dripping from the bottom of the airbox? There should be two drains on the airbox. One behind the air filter (clean side) that drains through a tube to a catch bottle, then a second drain in front of the air filter (dirty side) that will have a short (1.5") clear plug tube. (A tube that is pinched at one end.) I installed a drain tube and catch bottle on the front drain to increase the capacity of oil caught from this drain.DraganGrof wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2019 12:06 pm Hmm is there other solution for this? I had about an 1/8 inch of oil at the bottom of the catch bottle, about two drops in the pinched tube, nothing showing inside the air box on the dirty side, didn't pull the filter to see the clean side. Stock filter and exhaust.

Re: Intake filter housing drainage
For my oil change, service manual said 4.3L if empty, 4.7L if completely dry.
4.0L didn't bring it up to the first line, 4.3L didn't bring it up to the second, 4.5L took it just to the upper line.

Re: Intake filter housing drainage
the catch bottle from the drain hose was half full and the small tube from the dry side of the box was full, I empty it twice, the dealer said it may happen but it supposed to stop because probably from the factory oil level was little high and once we replaced the exhaust and install high performance filter it sucks more air and the oil gets there. I will keep eye on it and they said if it keeps happening they will open it and maybe install different gasket to seal the air box. I only have 200 miles on the bike
