"touring" is a state of mind, not a type of bike. You can literall y "tour" on anything.Drnick wrote: ↑Wed May 09, 2018 1:31 amPlease don't take this as an offense to those who like to tour at lightspeed, but just because this bike has heated gripsAnd cruise control,IMPO, it's not really a touring bike
Unless your very limber, young, no back problemsAnd like the "froggy riding position "
For extended periods of time!![]()

its all relative, ive riden from south florida to new Hampshire on a 996 , that was 15 years ago and I wouldn't want to do it now but I wasn't uncomfortable it was my bike I rode it all the time to the tune of about 15k miles a year and I was comfortable on it. I did 950 miles on the last day of that trip to get home, now that hurt, but it would in or on anything.
Me and the girl friend are riding the H2 Sexy to texas next month and I have no concerns over the comfort of the bike.
but to each his own, for me this bike is the right compromise between comfort and sport.

Tomorrow should be rack available, but I do not believe it will be market before June. And most likely it do not work with original panniers
that was Givis answer. I just ordered some kind of tuned rack from local metal shop. There I get at least smaller soft bag. Next week I see if it works and how horrible self made rack looks
We start 5 tkm trip around Europe in early June two up. I can imagine many bikes more comfortable for that, but life is always compromise.

My wife and I had a great time riding NY to Tennessee and back a few yrs ago. Top case helps a lot! Aside from the whole back rest and comfort thnig it's a lot of cargo space.
