I will be buying a top box.

Its great for two up riding

and for trips the increase in carrying capacity is huge

Im not saying you shouldnt do it, however consider that rear boxes arent made for the power of this bike.

It will strain rear subframe a lot, cause lots of wind resistance, reduce load on front wheel which makes bike less stable, potentially break on higher speed.

Kawasaki panniers, albeit being expensive, have lots of space for storing things, are rated up to 299kph and have less wind resistance.Plus since they are mounted low it wont mess up bikes center of gravity nor reduce load on front.

Everyone to their own, but a top box looks like you are a pizza delivery guy, I just hate them. I generally tour without a pilllion on a Kawasaki and I love the SW-Motech tail bag which meets my needs. Hopefully this tail bag will also fit the H2SX.

This looks like a nice option. Never looked into SW-Motech, but plan on it. I have an older and much more bulky Tourmaster bag that might get retired.

See now here is where Sport riders and Sport Tourers are showing their colors. coming off a Concours 14 of course a top case was one of the first add-ons.

The top case would only be on when two up and certainly not when I am riding very aggressive so the wind will be blocked and im sure up to 120 it would be fine

As the Kawi OEM bags are a step down in displacement that I'm using now. A top box would be needed for longer tours.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity
