UFO, do you think it'd just be easier/better just to install an aftermarket and longer brake line portion?UFO wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2020 12:28 am Glad that Murph is finally finishing this. I provided him a 95% complete design nearly 10 months ago.
Brake line will not be long enough. I recommended a re-locating bracket be made where the line bolts to the lower triple tree, but I'm not sure he made one. So you'll have to figure out how to re-located it yourself. I was able to zip tie it higher without any problems. Not elegant, but it works. The last design I sent to Murph the bars juuusssssst cleared the windshield at full lock, that's as high of a riser you can squeeze in, about 1.5 inches.
Anyway, hopefully these see the light of day eventually.

The brake lines are long enough, it's just where the collector block is mounted to the lower triple tree that limits the play in the line that runs to the front brake. Peak down the right fork and you can see it. The 1/2" spacers that Bryan468 sells has a bracket that shifts that collector block, or you can go old school and wire tie it a little higher. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1428Prof J wrote: Mon Jun 01, 2020 1:30 am UFO, do you think it'd just be easier/better just to install an aftermarket and longer brake line portion?

Or repurpose one of the brackets that hold those ugly reflectors on the front forks.

Re: Murph's bar riser design update #3
The Murph’s prototypes arrived. I fitted both sides to see how they will work and what adjustments would be needed. The left riser fit easily, no adjustments but the switchgear housing contacts the windshield upon full right turn. I have the lower windshield from the SX model. I will place a piece of thin rubber over the area to avoid scratches. It’s liveable.
The throttle side requires one to move the brake line. I used swharton’s suggestion and the bracket that holds the reflector on the front forks. Worked perfectly, and moves the ABS connector about 2 inches to the right. No contact problems upon full left turn. Here are some pictures of the throttle side and the bracket. I need the 2 extra handlebar mounting bolts to finish the left side. Coming any day, cost $1.75 each. Can’t ride it yet to give final impression but I think it will be very much better...35mm higher.

Sidney, where did you find those bolts at $1.75? If it's the same I priced out, the cost I've seen has been around $13-$18/ea, which is nuts.SidneyCarton wrote: Sat Jun 06, 2020 7:17 pm I need the 2 extra handlebar mounting bolts to finish the left side. Coming any day, cost $1.75 each.
