Re: Murph's bar riser design update #3
A little up date from my monthly bugging of Oscar. I spoke to him today and I learned something new that I wasn't aware of. He does not do the machining of the risers because he doesn't have a 6 axis cnc machine. He farms out the machining to a shop in California that makes the parts for him. They have made 4 different prototypes of the risers trying to make them fit right and the final product will have the indexing? as part of the final version. He has confirmed that these will be available as soon as possible as he has spent over $4,000. prototyping them and would like to start recouping the money he has spent. So that is the latest from the horses mouth.

Do you have any rough specs, height rise and pullback, on the setup Murph's is doing?

Yes, I know the 'original' specs. Curious of any changes/new developments.TurboBob wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 1:33 pmDo a search there are 7 pages where you will find your answer.Prof J wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 6:03 amTurboBob,TurboBob wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2020 7:49 pm A little up date from my monthly bugging of Oscar. Re: Murph's bar riser design update #3
Great news boys! I have talked back and forth with Murph a few times now and he has sent out a prototype set of the risers to a couple people including myself. They shipped out last Monday and are on there way. They are similar to the Ninja 1000 risers he currently offers but were harder to produce due to clearance issues. He seems like a great guy and is super friendly.
These few samples are raw unfinished prototypes. He will be offering the final product shortly in an anodized finish for around $200US.
I will take measurements, check clearances, take pictures and offer any feedback I can to help him however I can.
Hang in there...they look real good in the teaser photos he sent me ;)
