For folks using the Woolich setup, are you all saving your stock bike setup/map, before you make any changes or flash your ECU?

Mine is saved on my tuners computer. I also think that woolich has a file for the stock settings online.

cOoTeR is right. When you buy Woolich software you get a Bin File Definition Key. That allows you to open the appropriate base map. Of course, it's still a smart precaution to save the stock setup before making any changes.

Champ87,

Thank you.

I'll be learning all over again after the years away. I've been re-reading some of my old posts on the M109 and ZX-14, and going, "Oh yeah, I remember that now!"

The stock maps that come in the software are stock maps pulled directly from a stock ECU.

So even if you don't save it, if you open up and flash a stock map from the software, it is a 100% identical copy, byte for byte, from the stock ECU it was read from from the factory. If Kawasaki themselves were to dump the ECU contents and decrypt them it would be a 100% identical checksum as the one they dump into the ECU while assembling it and appear to be original. So while it doesn't hurt to save a read of your ECU, it isn't necessarily entirely warranted either.
