Onboard video @ Circuit Estoril
Thanks to chr1s who posted this in his Introduction post.
Down the straight at the end I saw 263 kph (163.5 mph) @11,000 RPM (last tick I can clearly see), gearing spreadsheet calculates 272.4 kph (169.3 mph). Which is odd because speedos always read high.

Re: Onboard video @ Circuit Estoril
The gearing spreadsheet is based on the theoretical rolling circumference of the rear tire. Maybe they have the tires inflated pretty high and/or they are hot from all the track use and the rear tire has grown slightly which would throw it off from the spreadsheet. There might also be some slight tire growth at speed around 160 MPH, hard to say. Plus the bike was still accelerating some at that point, so possible speedo/tach not keeping up with each other factor too.

Re: Onboard video @ Circuit Estoril
Here's a couple shots from the same video, both at times when he was not accelerating but at a pretty constant speed.
3rd gear, 7000 RPM, 113 km/h. Gearing spreadsheet shows 71.0 MPH which is 114 km/h ... only off by 1 km/h.
2nd gear, 8000 RPM, 106 km/h. Gearing spreadsheet shows 67.2 MPH which is 108 km/h ... only off by 2 km/h.
Looks pretty close to me considering eyeballing the tach reading.

The peak kmph I saw was 288 which is 179mph. I did a quick search online and the last top speed for the straight on a moto gp bike i saw was 202mph. Pretty impressive for a reporter on a sport touring bike to come within 23mph of a world class racer/ bike.

Wow this bike sounds Gay. I really can't wait to gut it all out and drop a full system exhaust and put race cams with ecu flash needs more power and torque. Otherwise I going to rebuild this bike myself.

Re: Onboard video @ Circuit Estoril
safe to say the bike is fast, though it looks like a steering damper might be handy like has been discussed.
