Arrow GP2

Post by Raddy47 » Sat May 04, 2019 11:42 pm

Finally done!!

Picked up spacers Friday and put exhaust back on.

No more exhaust leak

I do not have video for you, I don’t mind taking one and sending it to someone here that can put it on YouTube for everybody here to hear.

2019 SE+

2016-2018 zx10r headers with 4-5mm spacers. My fab shop didn’t do the best job I think only one was 5mm the rest were 4 to 4.5
But $80 for 8 was a great price.

Arrow GP2 exhaust model: 71527GP

Arrow mid pipe that comes with the above manufacturing part number worked great. I ordered part number 71638MI thinking I would need it but that did not fit.

71637MI is the mid pipe you need.

Only part that does not fit is the bolt that latches to mid pipe. But exhaust is solid. I am planning on fabbing my own bracket fastener. Not really needed though.

Center stand up or down fits with plenty of space in between.

Absolutely happy as hell to be using this exhaust. I love it!

I am using flash by vcyclenut with the pair block off valves by him as well. With the more pricy sprint air filter.

I took off the old exhaust actuator and cables completely and took off the O2 sensor and cable as well.

Instead of a O2 bung plug I just cut the cable that came on the zx10r headers and screwed it in. No leak. Works as plug.

I truly hope this helps someone else out there but I do strongly recommend buying a kit. I took a chance and it paid off big time!

Exhaust cost me 410.00 USD shipping was an additional 70 from Italy. I was skeptical using EMLineamoto but they were great. Order was a month out but got here a whole week before it was supposed to.

My brother has an Arrow end can on his CBR 1000RR and it sounds vicious so I can only imagine what it sounds like on yours. I hope you make a vid and post it.

No problem making a vid when I get back from vacation. But I don’t have an account to post. Not sure if I can simply attach or not.

I had an Arrow Thunder on my 06 GSX-R and everyone always said it sounded the best. I loved that one.

This GP2 is much different than the Thunder model but also different displacement bikes too. But I really like it. Spot on for what I was wanting in sound.

Have you got a picture of the headers and the spacers attached to the engine?

I have a pic of the headers but not with it attached. You wouldn’t be able to see the spacers when attached though.

Look like a great mod, i'm planning something similar. Did you have to get your ECU flashed because of the Lambda and exhaust valve removal? And if so, were you able to ride it ok to the tuners/dyno?
