And why don't you just take it out and send it to him??

It's pretty easy, just remove the R-side top fairing cover...

I have used Powercommanders over the years many times and have had some good results with fueling and timing maps. I've also used the Bazzazz units, the Yosh box that offered multiple map potential and even the "Tune Boy" on my Ducati Streetfighter ( this set-up in my opinion was the best of that type device). That was before you could just reprogram your ECM and now that this is available there is no way I would go through all that for the results it provides. Simply put, for the money and aggravation you just can't beat what Vcyclenut is offering and his provides so much more than just fueling and timing modifications The throttle response on this bike has only been matched one other time in all my 50 years of riding and that was the other guy (Ivan) doing a similar service to my ZX14R's ECM! To each their own but for the money when all is considered, there is no comparison. Easy, just remove the ECM, mail it to him, get it back, put it back on your bike and enjoy. Upgrade your exhaust or want it back to stock and that's part of the deal, he'll flash it again for what you've already paid, can't beat that and turn around is only slowed by the postal service.

Seriously. According to Google, Pompano Beach FL is 112 miles away from Fort Myers FL, I ride that distance for a lot less.

If I lived that close to Vcyclenut, he'd probably have to serve me with a restraining order.

Agreed, sounds like a perfect ride!! Kind of think that's why I own a bike.

I just might do that,as installing PC5 would be a lot more difficult on this bike then just removing ECU and flashing it
But I would have to set up an appt with him,and this is the rainy season (riding across Florida in the rainy season is somewhat hazardous 😜)

Just mail it in with a fast turn around time

+1.

There’s a video on his website showing how to pull the ECU without removing any body panels, just the piece that goes between the tank and fairing on the right side. I’ve removed my ECU that way twice and although the first time took a little while because I was being extra-cautious about the connectors, the second time it took less than 10 minutes to remove and about the same to replace. I’ve sent two ECUs to VCN and he’s had both reflashed and back in the mail within a couple of days of receipt. I’ve messed with PCs on several bikes, had them fail more than once, and have now pulled them all off except for one. I agree with the above posts—flashing the stock ECU works so well there’s no need to mess with a Power Commander, IMHO.
