Exhaust valve

Post by Bryan468 » Wed Apr 24, 2019 11:50 pm

Anyone disconnect the exhaust valve on a stock bike? I was thinking about just disconnecting the cables. Just wondering if that will create any issues.

Not worth it in my opinion. If you want louder just get one of those half cut pipes that replaces stock can. Not my style but they are loud for those who like noise.

That’s my two cents.

I did it and the next day I left it again as it was
It did not make more noise and also the bike did not have strength in low or medium
I even buy the F1 fault canceller
I do not recommend it

I don’t think the exhaust valve is for noise emissions only,I think it has some bearing on “cylinder filling”,i.e.intake cylinder filling and exhaust scavenging .

assuming the valve is working correctly and is opening completely as stated you will notice no change in noise but will notice a slight reduction in power in the very low rev range and no change in top end power

I decided to leave it alone and just buy your zx10 header and muffler package along with a few other things. You should have my ecu today.
