Please let me know where I can order the steering damper for the H2SXSE
Bryan468 wrote: Wed Apr 24, 2019 6:32 pm I ran into a few obstacles along the way but I was able to make 1/2” riser plates work. This project proved to be much easier than the steering damper mounts as it only took me a day and a half to complete.
The stock bolts that hold the bar mounts to the triple tree have a shoulder on them so with a regular m6 bolt you have some room to move the bar towards the front or rear of the bike. This proved to be very helpful with clearance.
I started by raising the brake/throttle bar as high as I could with the stock brake line. I clamped it in place and checked clearance as I turned the bars. As you can see the brake line is quite tight.
I found a very simple solution for this problem. I just loosened the 8mm bolt on the brake T and there was a small amount of play. I was able to angle it to the right and tighten the bolt back up. By doing this I was able to gain enough slack that the line wasn’t super tight anymore.
This was the max height I was able to achieve with the brake line stretched to the max without angling the brake T.
The next obstacle I ran into was the clutch line was hitting the triple tree when I tried to slide it up on the fork tube. So the simple solution was to slightly angle the line away from the forks. In order to do that I had to remove this little tab.
I got the dremel in there and cut it off. Then I just barely cracked the banjo bolt loose. At this point all I did was let the line turn with the bolt as I tightened the bolt back up. This was super easy and if you follow this method it won’t leak any fluid. No bleeding was necessary.
Once I knew I could make 1/2” spacers work I took some measurements and put the bandsaw to work.
I used a real rough template to locate the first hole.
Hole saw gets the job done but it’s not a very pretty hole!
Used a boring head to finish the holes to the size I wanted. I ended up making them about 50.5-51mm to allow for a little room to shift them if I had to.

Price is $125 plus shipping for the kit. That includes the spacers, brake line relocation bracket, bar locating bolts, bar locating spacers, and a bolt for the brake line bracket.
