Re: Mounted ZX-10 steering damper
Wow, this is so amazing! I would love to do that too, but I'm pretty limited in terms of tools and machinery :'(.
I'm gonna take your excellent work as an example, because I really want a steering damper so bad.
Good luck on the risers!

Re: Mounted ZX-10 steering damper
We had some rainy weather here so I had a little down time and decided to wrap the brackets I made in some 3m carbon fiber wrap and I sent the steering damper out to Kyle racing and had it re-valved.
I had about $110 total into the re-valving after shipping. The difference is huge. On the highest setting stock the damper could easily be moved back and forth. After the re-valving on the highest setting you can barely move it.
So my total investment into the steering damper was about $240 after having it re-valved.

Re: Mounted ZX-10 steering damper
I have templates for all of the pieces but it would still take me a day or more to make all the pieces. I’d have to charge $2-300 for a set of mounts. I’d need some cheap labor to make it worth while! Lol

Re: Mounted ZX-10 steering damper
Does it change to 'feel' of steering/handling in any tangible way ,or would it primarily be felt only under rare circumstances of wobble.
I've only had wobble on one bike, an old shovel-head. Once the tree nut was adjusted, that left. All my other bikes, 4 cyl street bikes, not a hint, even with the 14 going long stretches at the rev limit. That bike was sure stable.

It all depends on how stiff you set it. If you set it stiff you will definitely notice a difference in how the bike turns and handles all the time.Prof J wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2019 6:27 am Does it change to 'feel' of steering/handling in any tangible way ,or would it primarily be felt only under rare circumstances of wobble.

Re: Mounted ZX-10 steering damper
hey Bryan I know you said you weren't looking to sell, but would you consider it for the people who would play for it? I personally would love to have this kit! Thanks again!
