Re: White smoke coming from my H2
I’ve seen cam chain blow up before on a 636 at 140mph. Dude was leading our pack and suddenly we couldn’t see the road. Slowed to like 30mph on hwy till white smoke cleared. Smoke was coming out of exhaust can. If your smoke is up near front of bike possible same issue but with exhaust leak. Or like Snake said, maybe just some fluid burning off your pipes. Did you change oil recently?

Re: White smoke coming from my H2
What exactly did you do to adjust the tensioner? Which tensioner did you adjust? Was that before or after the smoke?
Any other noticeable changes like power loss, stuttering engine lights?
Have you reached out to Brock? He's been on the forum before maybe he'll chime in. But there isn't a lot of information in your post.

Be honest how much seafoam did you pour into the throttle body.. haha, kidding. Man I would start with the cam chain tensioner, since you said you had touched it. Set it back to stock spec and see if the smoke goes away. Probably the same thing the dealer would try and they would throw a new chain on it too.

Re: White smoke coming from my H2
The thing that worries me is that on the gen4 and maybe gen5 ZX-10R's the common practice was to loosen the bolts holding the cam chain tensioner until you hear the tensioner click to the next position then tighten the bolts. Doing this method could cause the tensioner to put too much pressure on the chain since its a "non-return" style tensioner.Raddy47 wrote: Mon Apr 22, 2019 3:19 am Be honest how much seafoam did you pour into the throttle body.. haha, kidding. Re: White smoke coming from my H2
Don't discount that it might be totally unrelated to the work you did on it. It didn't smoke straight away ... could just be bad timing.
White smoke with no smell is generally water ... like it does in the morning when its been sitting and there's condensation in the pipe but this should stop once the bike warms up. If there's water getting into the combustion chamber it will mix with your oil and turn it into a creamy paste so have a look in your oil window and make sure your oil still looks right.
You say its down on power but is it running rough? Does it idle well?
