Akrapovic Slip On????? Sprint P08 F1-85? Reflash??

Post by Ninja Convert » Sat Apr 06, 2019 2:20 am

Hello Everyone!

Picked up my 19' H2 SX SE+ a few weeks ago. Trying to decide on which exhaust to go with. For now, I do not plan on a decat or full system. What do you guys think about the Akrapovic Slip On? I really do not like the look or sound of the stock exhaust. Any other opinions would be much appreciated. BTW, I also ordered the Sprint Filter P08 F1-85 air filter. Will I need to reflash the ECU????

Thanks in advance for your help! Ride safe...

Have you looked at the Yoshimura slip-on, several of us on this forum have them and I have heard nothing but high praise, I love mine. As far as re-flash, I'd do it even without the filter change, better throttle response and an extra 35 or 40 horsepower are hidden in the stock bike that can be easily accessed by Vcyclenut.

+1 on the Yoshimura. It's the best looking IMHO (especially in carbon) and definitely sounds better than the cartoonish OEM.

I've read (and heard) that the Akro slip-on is bascically the same as the OEM exhaust in sound and performance. It just looks different...and costs a lot of $$$$.

I recently switched to the Yosh slipon and love it. Not too loud, but sounds very nice at full steam. I also liked my Brock's slip on, but it doesn't work with the bags. It's for sale in the Marketplace forum, buy it!

+2 or 3 on yoshimura. I have the yoshimura 3/4 system with the zx10r header and love it. I have had yoshimura exhausts on 4 of my 5 bikes.

Hi, I chose Akrapovic for my new 2019 NINJA H2 SX SE +. In Germany, you need an EC license and for the H2 SX SE + has so far only Akrapovic! If you cut off both db-killers by 10 cm, the sound will be great - and not too loud. Look pictures

I have the Akra exhaust with baffles removed to be honest it doesn't sound much different to the stock exhaust. It is lighter though and looks a little better.

Planning to get rid of the exhaust valve and cat which will help a lot.

Wait it out sauerkraut. Don’t force an exhaust on if you are not 100% sold on sound or looks.

What’s up with these handle bars.. explain what you did here, I’m curious if you like that better and if the tall windscreen is enough for sitting up right more.
