Re: speed bleeders
Nope. At the risk of changing the discussion, when I looked around for speed bleeders for my last bike (Versys 1k), I came across reports of speed bleeders failing under stress. Admittedly, they were anecdotal reports, and one of the failures concerned a speed bleeder that failed on a bike during a track day. I decided the convenience wasn't worth it for me.

Re: speed bleeders
Never had any issues on previous bikes both sport and dirt. And I put my dirt bike through it all. Never any issues.

Re: speed bleeders
I used them on my Honda for years and was very happy with them. What put me off was a report of a catastrophic failure (the bleeder blew out) during a track day that left the rider without a front brake while out on the track. But again, your mileage may vary.
