14.0A is what the generator can produce when the engine is at 5K rpm.
The regulator will rectify the 30Vac to approx 14.4Vdc and maintain this voltage across a range of load (how much current (Amps) is being drawn by the bike).
The bike itself requires electrical power to run. Electronics, Lights, Ignition, etc.. If this load is for example close to 18A, then you only have 10A maximum available to the rider for his plug-in gizmos. Now my heated jacket draws 7A when on fully heat setting. So in this scenario, only 3A are left for your Satnav, Phone etc...
