Well, I have had them on my 2017 Ninja 1000, ZX14r, 2012 Ninja 1000 so I can tell you that they get hot AF on high, and are the only heated grips that any experienced rider uses in my area (Vancouver BC Canada). Dealer is putting them on now.

Cool... uh I mean... well bad pun :) Could we get a pic if it's not too much trouble?? Also any details as to how they were installed... using stock switch/wiring or ?? Very curious about this because as I said, I think the stock ones are the weakest heated grips I have ever felt. Thanks!

There are three setting on the OEM grips so you have to press them multiple times to get them hotter.

Used the oxfords on a 2 day 1500km ride in temps ranging from 5C to 13C and they get HOT. This is the fourth like I've had them on and it would be very difficult for me to use anything else

The more I'm reading, the more I'm thinking that the "OEM" accessory grips on my Versys 1k are actually Oxfords. They do get really hot on the full setting, but deliver a mild warmth on the lowest setting.

H2 SX SE OEM heated grips are shit - there's sort-of-hot-but-not-really, and then two other useless settings that are hard to find.

The Oxfords are great. You can fry an egg on the high setting, but you can also feel the difference between the several other settings.

I wonder if there is a way to mod the OEM setup with bypassing and or modding the OEM switch to decrease the resistance settings/replace the resistors, if the heat is controlled by that type of thing . . .

So, the first few times I used the grips I could barely feel the heat, even on the highest setting. These past few days I have used them again while riding in 30-40 degree weather. I don't know what changed, but now they get HOT. They were almost burning my hands through my winter gloves. My fingertips were still a bit cool, but the palms were for sure hot as hell.

The Oxfords are 4 amp, while OEM are 15 amp. Why not tie in at the left grip heater controller, OEM switch, and splice in the power lead to the Oxford at that point?

That is quite an amp difference from the OEM setup. Surprising, given how folks familiar with them say they provide such a higher degree of heat. Could the OEM switch be limiting the power to the grips, or just a poorly designed grip, or both?
