Is it 1999 American dollars, or 1999 Australian dollars? It's not a 1-to-1 conversion. If it's AUD, then that's currently about 1490 American.
It is 2,000 something Austrailian on their Facebook page.

It's AU$ 2,690 on the Aussie website. That converts to around US$ 1,990.

2690 AUD retail
135 AUD shipping to Canada
-200 AUD discount for those like myself who preordered

Amazing price considering the cost of the akrapovic will probably retail for USD 4000$ +

Ordered mine today.....was going to be an 8 to 10 week wait for a yoshi or akro - which were not full systems just factory headers into a locally fabbed cat delete pipe and the slip ons.... I think this Vandemon will be a better set up - well fingers crossed

Curious as to the muffler construction. I'm assuming it's the standard straight through tube surrounded by exhaust packing. If it were to have some type of baffling to ensure that it wouldn't be too loud I might be interested. My ZX14R with full Akra system is quiet enough, but it has the benefit of two mufflers and the four db killers are in place.

Vandemon just posted a dyno run video with their exhaust on Facebook. They claim 8hp gain with no tuning. They also say they put the H2R slashcut style exhaust on and got 14hp and 3ft.lbs. of torque with no tuning. I'm interested to see what vcyclenut gets with his derestricted bike and tuning.

24.3 pounds of weight savings makes this very tempting.

I'm assuming it's similar weight loss to my titanium exhaust, and if so, it's very noticeable weight loss. I was wondering if it would make as big an effect since it's low down on the bike, but you really can feel it. It's still not a supersport bike, but it's leagues better on the weight aspect now.

Yours may actually be a little lighter.
