....after looking at the Kawasaki spares site £700 for a left hand light and £300 for the right hand light , (don't know why one is more than the other ??)
The left cornering light unit is more expensive because it includes an ECU that controls and monitors the cornering lights.

Haven’t been on here in a while. I’m in the us and have a perfectly round spot of paint missing. No way it’s a chip. Too perfect and no other damage or dings.

just got the paint through from RS today. 4 tins, more than i need for 2 x wee spots on the tank, but you never know when it might come in handy later on. Will let you know how i get on but gonna go to kawa first, as its happening to too many of us, and all the "stone chips" look exactly the same, too spooky that!!

I have mailed and rang Kawasaki uk again to day , waiting for a reply , I have covered my mark with two black decals one on both sides to even the tank up , better than having the mark

I have two small chips on the upper right of my tank, almost in the exact same spot as Palmer812's, just on the right side instead. I have no idea how they got there. I just assumed a rock bounced off my chest and hit it, but don't recall it happening.

They are almost perfectly circular.

Did you approach kawaski about it to get it covered under warranty, or did you go the dealer you bought the bike from?

Right so i called Kawasaki on 01628 856750 spoke to a chat called Simon, and told him of our/my issues. response was, take it into your local dealer and they will see if they feel its covered under warranty. if they asses it to be a stone chip, then there is no recourse. But i said several others have suffered the same scenario, and in the same location towards the top of the tank and no where you would expect to see a stone chip. Ah, but we have had no complaints of similar!!!!!! WTF, i know you have as Keith has complained. So first course of action is to get the bike into Shirlaws (dealer) and get them to take a look. When you play the money we paid, you should be guaranteed the post sale support, not fobbed off. the dealer will look at it and say stone chip, they wont know others have suffered the same issue, so going to need to take all images fomr this thread with me as supporting information, but at this stage not too hopeful. keep you in the loop, but i would urge all who have seen this, call the kawasaki number above, or even the number in your region and raise a complaint.
