Rattle on start-up

Anyone else have a rattle from cold (or warm)?

Standard bike and has done 10k, serviced every 2k, sounds very much like cam/top end, lasts about 5 seconds.

My ZH2 doesn't do it.. do SXs?

Automatic chain tensioner. There are numerous posts about it.

Ouch, been there, well kinda. I had 2 bearings fail on my zx14r. Dealership rebuilt the motor but the cct wouldnt take up the slack and eventually the cam chain jumped a cam tooth. I caught it, dealership wouldnt do anything about it so i had to pull the head off and verify everything was fine. Thankfully it was and thats why i now go with ape manual tensioners.

Its very much a cam/top end rattle.. not a CCT issue..

Ive often wondered if it was the SC chain(or bearings) until the oil gets around it.
