Yep. I usually never buy from 7/11 etc and the mistake cost me some quality ride time but it was good to learn how to identify and clear a fault code.

I had the same thing happen at1,000 miles. Same code. Mine happened when I almost ran out of fuel and had about .1 gallon left. I suspect it has something to do with scraping the bottom of the barrel so to speak. Reset the code, filled up with 93 and all is good.

Today on my way back from a Motorbike weekend. Cruising with cruise control on at 135Km/h on the highway.
Suddenly „a clonk“ and the orange dash light went on.

Error 7B

I filled up the tank with Super 102 on Saturday.
Today I only got Super 95. About 10 minutes after this the light came on.

Super 95 (equivalent to 90 octane in the USA) in Germany is the very minimum that should be used the in H2 SX, you probably got a bad batch or maybe some water in the fuel.. try to go to more popular gas stations where you can be assured that the tanks are cleaned on a more frequent basis.

I have had the same experience on my '22 just recently. I had Shell 102 in it at the time and since it only had ~1000km that day I can safely say that all gas consumed until now 100% 102 either from Shell or Aral.

What happened was, just as you described, the bike flashing red warnings at me, switched off all electronic stuff (Quickshifter, Radar stuff, KEBC you name it) and went to limp mode. Limp mode not as in Rain mode, but actual limp mode where it could barely keep 60kph. But i had no "clunc", or at least I could not hear or feel it. It was pouring rain, on the Autobahn (~130kph) and I used earplugs. Restarted the bike and it was back to power, but CEL was on and KEBC and Quickshifter were deactivated. Limped home and filled up my tank, then after that the CEL was gone and I was able to activate KEBC and Quickshifter. Bike acts like nothing happened. Bike is currently at the dealer for its 1.000km inspection and I told them what was up.

Until now I only heard back from them that my bike is ready to be picked up and since it was only for one working day there I can only assume that they did not do any excessive work on it. Will know more later this week when I picked it up.

I was super afraid that I f*ucked something up during the bike's break-in period tbh. Anyone of you who picked up a 200hp brand new and rode it like a saint for 1.000km? tehehee..

So I had a call with my dealer and they told me it was the front radar system that delivered unplausible data so it shut everything off. They have no idea what caused it and why it sent everything else into limp mode but they are in contact with Kawasaki about it. Error is gone so far, we'll see if it comes back. They said it was probably the weather but honestly it was wet but visibility was good and it was no thunderstorm or anything, just normal ass rain.

Hello, I thought I would add to this post as my check engine light is on as well.

I added these Motogadget Pin lights and now I to have the check engine light on. My good friend thinks it might be the difference in electricial resistance or something like that.

Engine light has turned off after a couple good rides.

Remove the lights, see if the light goes away.
